Sour tea or Malmir tea or Mecca tea (scientific name: Hibiscus sabdariffa) or Roselle tea or red tea is made from the sepals of the sour tea plant and is consumed as a hot or cold beverage in many parts of the world. It is widely consumed in Latin America, especially in Jamaica, and is known as the Jamaican flower or Sorrel, and in North Africa as Sudanese tea and in Egypt as Karkade. It tastes sour and is usually drunk with sugar. This tea is anti-cold too.
